BUTLER is looking for an experienced PASTRY PRODUCTION COOK/ASSISTANT to join our team of professionals at our location in SOHO. Job Description:Daily production for all pastries and breadsWork with FOH to establish and meet par levelsCommunicate effectively and work in harmony with a small pastry production team Developing and creating pastries with our Executive chef and Management TeamDaily quality checks of productsQualification Requirements:-Minimum 2 years’ experience in a cafe/restaurant with a focus on pastry and breads-A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries-Prior experience with laminated dough, cake mixes and breads-Experience with service and expediting-Knowledge of how to work with a dough sheeter -Dependable and hard-working-Sociable and friendly to staff and guests. We believe personality is your biggest asset.-Maintain a clean, sanitary & well-organized kitchen at all times. -Train staff in proper cleaning procedures, protocols and guidelines set by the Dept. of Health.-Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards (NYC Food Handler's License is mandatory).-Must be available to work on early/opening shifts, weekends, and holidays.All potential candidates please forward resumé.
